FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
There is one word term that sums up The elite panel craft team when it comes to body work and painting on a car that’s part of my family ‘TRUST’.
Without any doubt whatsoever, the approach and honesty of the whole team should not be under estimated.
My beetle, Olive was inspected, I was advised well and then quoted very fairly.
I felt so comfortable that I let them choose the colour and asked if the pin striper could come out of retirement to finish the job.
They did a surprise reveal that blew me away, I’m a mature soldier and can handle surprise well (normally) they blew me away! She’s beautiful, the finish is far beyond factory original, panel gaps are perfect, paint is flawless the pin stripe and detail is another level.
All along the way Elite kept me informed and made me feel really involved.
The team documented progress on Olive and sent me digital pictures (after the reveal), called me on the phone, emailed etc etc.
They started the job on-time and finished the job on-time, nothing was ever a problem.
Where he felt there was an alternative or less expensive solution they really looked after me.
These guys are from the ‘Old School’ – ‘An honest days work for a honest days pay’. I am now a customer for life.
Thanks guys, you made my dreams come true.
MGB GT LE Limited Edition
Built in 1980 it was the 19th one built out of a production run of 580 GT’s, a total of 1000 LE models were built, the remaining 420 were tourers. All GT’s were finished in pewter and the tourers in bronze. These were the very last MG’s to be built at the famous Abingdon Works.BYJ 810Y was first registered on February 22nd 1983 hence the ‘Y’. Clearly sales were very slow at the time, the selling price was about £7,000, so they were not cheap. The ‘LE’ had larger alloy wheels, front spoiler etc.The first owner was the Grant family of Horselung Manor W.Sussex, Peter Grant was the manager of the Led Zepplin group, during this time it was registered as LZ 1. The MOT’s go back to April 89, confirming the current mileage to be approximately 46,500. It was ziebarted (rust protected) from new ensuring even now it is vey free from the dreaded rust. Extensive work has been done on the front and rear suspension. Removal, sandblasting and coating renewing all worn parts including brake and clutch replacement etc. The interior has been improved with re-upholstered seats. It has been completely resprayed by Elite Panel Craft in Wilton, who refurbished the wheels etc. It represents a very good example of this rare model of the popular MG B GT.
